I have been having the most fun the past two days taking portraits for a new, upcoming website! They are handmade specially designed tutu’s for little girls. I tell you, I have seen many tutu’s for sale but none compare to how absolutely adorable these are! The owner of this company is extremely talented and creative.
I will post a more complete blog later of lots more tutu’s, but for now, I will throw you a little teaser. And of course, who else to model the teaser tutu, but my very own little girl, Felicity!
Enjoy!…

What was today full of??? TWO times the fun, TWO times the laughs, TWO times the hugs, TWO times the kisses, and a photo shoot… TIMES TWO!
It’s inevitable… twins are twice the fun. Especially these two cuties! Tell me, WHY haven’t they been on a double-mint commercial by now? Producers, writers, agencies… check out this adorable duo!! Not only are they super cute, but they are extremely well behaved and two little hams for the camera!
The only bad part… i had to say goodbye.

More photo’s from this session to come next week!

Bet you didn’t know that the 3rd Thursday of every month Downtown Ocala has an event called “Girl’s Night Out.” A bunch of shops located downtown get together and have special sales going and some even have samples, hors dourves, and raffles. It’s a great night for you and your girl friends to get out of the house, hang out, and shop together! All the participating shops will have pink and black balloons out front. Don’t miss it!
Jodie Lynn Studio was asked to document this even for the Downtown Ocala website. I had so much fun browsing through the stores, meeting some awesome people, and trying some tasty samples of the incredible food at various shops.
Here’s just a few photos from this past Thursday night of some the shops i fell in love with. You can find all the photos on the Downtown Ocala website or by going here. Please know i don’t get a kickback for any of the stuff i’m posting, I just really enjoyed browsing the shops and thought i’d let you know about these hidden treasures!
We started out visiting “Harry’s” on the corner of the square.

Then we walked south down the street to “Alei & Ani’s Shbby Shak.” This place is SO cute inside and I was loving the decor. The owner is so awesome and so much fun to chat with. If you’ve ever driven downtown you may have noticed this store always has the cute seasonal window paintings outside.

and how cute is this little sitting area!?

Next we visited “Bakers and Cooks,” an awesome winery… amongst other things. They have everything you need to fulfill your sweet & sassy tooth and decorate your kitchen!

I got to sit down and chat with the owner and the chef, along with some other ladies that stopped in for a visit, and enjoy a sampling of the most amazing chocolate cake i’ve ever eaten! And I am a chocolate snob ok? So, i’m telling you… this cake was incredible!

I told him to cut me a TINY piece. I definitely ate it all…

On our way to the next shop, we saw the downtown Horse and Carriage pass by. Girl’s Night Out ONLY special: FREE RIDES to take you from shop to shop!

Next we stopped by one of my favorite places to shop for my little girl: “Olivia & Company.” If you are a female of any kind: single, married, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt… etc. You will want to stop in here!

They have stuff for the young, the old, and the everything in between.

Just north nextdoor of Olivi’a & Co. is another amazing find!: “Tres Chic.” This store is so much fun to browse. It’s definitely not what you would expect. I think i’m going to have to go back and purchase that King and Queen Hand towel set!! I have to tell you, even if you go just to check out the leopard staircase, it’s worth it!

Next we hit a shop called “The Marketplace on Broadway.” UH-mazing. WTRS was even there giving away a FREE JEEP! How awesome is that!? They drew the name while I was there. That was one lucky random guy. They’ll be doing another vehicle giveaway in August, so be sure to be there for the Girl’s Night Out!

Next on the run was “HANNAH” …fine jewelry, apparel, accessories, etc. You’ve gotta check them out as well.

Just on the corner across from Starbucks is Gause & Son Jeweler. I could stay in there for hours. The showroom is absolutely beautiful.

Well, we’re about done aren’t we? …ALMOST! I have saved my favorite shop for last. It’s called “The Lime Cabinet.” Now this is seriously a store i could do some major damage in. I had the opportunity to meet the owners, an amazing and such a sweet couple. They let me know they just got back in town with a completely awesome new stock of stuff! So, even if you’ve been in there before, you’ll definitely need to go back. I can’t wait to see what new things they’re gonna have!

And don’t even think you don’t need to get a pair of these bad boys. You know your pet squirrel has been asking for them so just put pride aside, and go ahead and get him some. I mean, the little guy deserves it right?

Haha… so that’s all for now. See you on the 3rd Thursday in August!

WOOHOO!!!

So, if you are here, then you already know that my new website is up and running! It’s been a long road working with my team to get it live, but it’s finally here. The process began back in February 2009. So, i’m super glad it’s finally up! (we’re actually still adding to it, so it’s still a bit under construction, but for the most part it’s complete.)
Also, I have so many really cool things available for my clients, so be sure to browse through the products page. I have samples of most everything in my office, so if you would like to see anything in person, just ask!
I also have newer and cooler wedding packages that have a ton of cool stuff included! So, give me a call or shoot me an email and i’ll send you a list of all the details, or we can meet up and talk all about it together!
Thanks again for checking out my site. I hope you have an enjoyable journey. You can even send me an email to let me know what you think. And be SURE to keep checking my blog as I have made it a goal to keep it updated as best as I possibly can!
Thanks so much and God bless!
- Jodie
