Hey! My name is Jodie Lynn Johnson and I am the photographer for Jodie Lynn Studio. The love of capturing emotion and memories through “film” has been in me since I was old enough to hold a camera. I’ve shot in various cities throughout Florida, but some of my favorite places I’ve been are Kenya and Haiti. I’ve also had the pleasure of shooting a wedding in beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama. So, as you see, I love to travel and am more than willing!

I am married to a wonderful, Godly man named Aaron; and we have been blessed with a beautiful daughter named Felicity. I strongly seek the Lord’s guidance in all that I do, and that definitely includes my photography. I believe that He has given me a great talent and I want to serve Him by using it to its fullest. If any of my work catches your eye, or is marked as a favorite of yours, please know that all the glory goes to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and He alone.

I began my photography career back in 2005 when my sister asked me to shoot at her wedding. Prior to that, I had shot unprofessionally for many, many years with a film SLR camera. Since shooting that wedding, my photography business grew and grew and I am so excited about what it has become today. I now shoot digital, but every now and then you may catch me breaking out my film as well! Although the best experiences for me have been hands on (just myself getting out there and shooting), I have had other training as well. I took a class taught by a professional photographer who has been in the business for decades back in the summer of 2005. I have read, researched, and learned from other experienced photographers as well. I also won a scholarship to a photography workshop in Alabama the beginning of 2009, instructed by some of the best photographers and vendors in the professional business today. I have learned so much through every experience and I can't wait to see what else is in store for me!
